This course
will be instructed by Chad Hoffman and
Dr. Alistair Smith
This class will review the terminology and methods for assessing fire
effects and burn severity in the field and from airborne and satellite
remote sensing. We will quantitatively analyze and interpret the ecological
impacts of fires on plants and soils as well as critically review current
scientific literature.
